13 hours on a plane is a LOOONNNGGG time! But we survived and made it to Kijabe by mid afternoon. (The photo is from New York–too busy to get a picture after we arrived in Nairobi. But trust us, the weather is MUCH better here.)
Today’s only goal is to stay awake until after supper–staying up should help us adjust to the 8 hour time difference. Most people, if they can stay awake the first day without giving in to a nap, will sleep well that night and get on a regular schedule quickly. But taking a nap sets up an incomplete sleep cycle that is more difficult to fix.
Since our brains are only half functioning, we’ll start posting our blog in earnest tomorrow. More news soon.
YAY! Praying everyone is able to stay awake, and stay positive until after supper. Sleep is coming soon!
